Many who have died and been brought back to life
speak of feelings of peace, of gentleness
of a Love that transcends any love they’ve ever experienced before.
My mother was one such person and her experience changed her.
Fearful of death before that experience, she lived her remaining years
filled with joy and wonder and anticipation of the peace
gentleness and Love that awaited her when her sun set.
I was comforted as I remembered my mother’s experience when my husband died.
I continue to be comforted by my mother’s experience on this the 15th anniversary of 9-11
when so many perished. and on this the anniversary of the sunset of a friend and extended family member.
I live in the expectation and hope that all who died
are now experiencing a peace that passes understanding,
a gentleness beyond comprehension
and a Love that is inexplicable.
Rest in peace, and gentleness and Love all who have gone before
… those who are known
… and those who are unknown.
