Happy Epiphany!

Today begins the Season of Epiphany for many around the world.
… it’s the day a star is said to have
guided three Magi to the baby Jesus.

Star
… an image of light
bringing people to the Light of the World.

I love the word ‘Epiphany’
… those “ah-hah!” moments in life
when we suddenly feel that
… we ‘understand’
… we ‘get it’
… we unexpectedly gain insight into the nature
or meaning of something or someone
we hadn’t quite grasped previously.

A new year has begun and it is an opportune time
to consider how we will SEW
(okay, I admit it – I love words and playing with words!)

S.E.W.
Star Epiphany Word
What word will we choose to guide us in the new year
to epiphanies
… “ah-hah” moments that will be
… transformative
… healing
… hope-filled.

We all get to choose our own word.

I’ve chosen mine
… it’s “OPEN.”

I choose to be ‘open’ to
… possibilities
what the Creator, the Universe, life
has for me in terms of
… personal growth
“Soulistry-Artistry of the Soul”
… health of body, mind and spirit.

I choose to be open to
… joy and love and peace and hope,
… possibilities, learning, sharing, networking
and …

What about you?
What S.E.W. do your choose to guide you in the coming year?

So many possibilities!
Choose one.
Whatever word you choose
know that it will be the right word for you.
What S.E.W. do you choose to guide you in the coming year?

Happy Epiphany!

(An aside: each year on Epiphany, I make
handmade Origami paper stars which appear on an indoor plant.
They’re fun and easy to make and require oh-so-few supplies.
… a creative activity to welcome the Season of Epiphany …

And, I add tiny white lights around the house
to welcome light and be a reminder
of the Light that came into the world
… through the baby Jesus and the light
… that continues to come into the world
through ordinary people
of all religions, ethnicities, sexual identities, abilities, races
who bring kindness, caring, gentleness, peace, patience,
goodness, love, hope
… aka “Bearers of The Light”.)
